Community Rail is a growing grassroots movement made up of community rail partnerships and groups across Britain, including in Lancashire. The organisation’s objective is to engage communities and help people get the most from their railways, promoting social inclusion and sustainable travel, working alongside train operators to facilitate improvements, and bring stations back to life.
Limitless worked with the organisation to communicate its purpose and showcase the value of the organisation in promoting rail use across Lancashire.
Key activities included promotion of what CRL had achieved and how it was engaging communities and delivering service extensions, while supporting the national campaign, Community Rail Week.
The campaign resulted in 73 pieces of coverage in the first six months across both local press and national industry media in publications with total readership of 53.7 million and our articles being read by an estimated 601,000 people across these audiences.
Richard Watts, Chair of Community Rail Lancashire said: “From the first meeting with Limitless we knew we had the right fit. Mark’s expertise and enthusiasm for the subject matter couldn’t have been better matched to our needs and his extensive contact book helped deliver excellent returns.
“The results have been very impressive, helping us reach areas that we wouldn’t normally be able to and going the extra mile when necessary.”
